Sparring Gear – Get Ready For A Fight!
In order to properly train for any type of martial arts, eventually you are going to have to spar. In order to spar, you are going to need some sparring gear. As part of your training, you have been taught how to deliver powerful and very precise blows with your hands, elbows, feet, and knees and even your head. The whole purpose is self defense and should you ever need to use your skills, you should have no problems taking out your foe.
You do need to practice and you definitely need to learn and practice with another person. You can practice all day on a body opponent bag and this is great for your stamina and form but a body opponent bag will never strike back. Sparring with a real person can really help your martial arts training. You need protection for your weapons and your opponent needs protection from your blows and vice versa.
Here is what you are going to need.
Padded Head Gear – You have got to protect your melon.
Sparring Gloves – These will help protect your hands and your opponents face
.Foot Gloves – Your feet need protection too.
Mouthpiece – You do want to keep all of your teeth, right?I
n some cases you might even need shin guards and a chest pad.
You can purchase all of these separately, but the smart thing to do, would be to purchase everything together as a kit. You will save a lot of money this way and most kits also come with a very handy bag. You are going to have to carry all of your gear to all of the matches.
You only get one set of hands and feet. Make sure you protect them.
